Our Story

Carlie has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 25 years. She shifted her focus to Aged Care and Centrelink exclusively after realising there was a real need for somewhere people could turn to when they, or their loved ones, need to make important Aged Care Financial Decisions, often at short notice.

Carlie purchased Rethink Aged Care in August 2021, after working with Rethink Financial Planning for 5 years. She ensures that she gives each client the time and patience that this specialist area needs, in what is often an emotional time, delivering comprehensive service and support to her clients.

Carlie is professionally qualified in this area, however, her own personal experience going through similar circumstances has given her a real passion for helping navigate Aged Care and Centrelink and is someone that you can trust to ensure you and your loved ones receive the professional advice they need. This means you can concentrate on spending quality time with those that mean the most to you.

Rethink Aged Care team has become a well trusted and sought after team of experts helping clients throughout New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria, as they manage their clients through what can be a very daunting period of life for not just the clients, but the family members too.

The Rethink Aged Care team are unique, they have all been in the Financial Planning industry for many years but have chosen to specialise in Aged Care advice. The role of this team is better described as an Aged Care Advice, Advocacy and Liaison service.

The dedicated Rethink Aged Care team removes a huge burden from clients and their loved ones, by liaising directly with Centrelink, the Department of Human Services (Homecare), solicitors, Aged Care facilities, real estate agents, accountants, financial planners, and My Aged Care on their behalf.

We pride ourselves on giving a voice to people who feel they’ve lost it due to factors such as ageism; taking the complexity, confusion, time and stress out of aged care planning. We always apply high levels of compassion when supporting clients and their loved ones during an often emotional time, and have been told this is rare in our industry. In fact, Carlie and the team are thrilled that the majority of their ongoing client work comes via word-of-mouth referrals.
